Heather Kittrell, DVM

Dr. Heather Kittrell was born and raised in Ruby, Louisiana. After graduating Pineville High School in 1996, she joined the United States Marine Corps. After 9 years in the Marine Corps, she was honorably discharged so that she could pursue her lifelong dream of becoming a veterinarian. Heather continued to serve in the military by joining the North Carolina National Guard, while also attending East Carolina University in Greenville, North Carolina. She received her B. S. in Biology in 2008. Shortly after graduating from ECU, Heather was deployed to Basrah, Iraq with the NC National Guard. After returning from deployment she attended veterinary school at Louisiana State University, where she graduated in May 2015. She is living in Mountain Home with her husband, Tommy, and sons, Eilam and Ira. Heather enjoys all aspects of veterinary medicine, but has a particular interest in beef and swine medicine. Heather's hobbies include quilting, photography, crossfit and running.
